Geldeston Lock

I am staggered to realise that this picture was taken in 2012. I did a walk from East Point at Lowestoft to Diss in a series of stages. This was a pint stop at the famous Geldeston Lock pub. A pub that used to be notorious for what went on in this out of the way location but by this time hade been tamed. Still, as you can see a very pleasant spot for lunch. This is as far as boats can reach so is a popular trip along the River Waveney from Beccles.

I happened to come acros this in the Times today. Not a great picture but obviously serves a purpose.

Dubscribe for updates – very short blog posts about Geography Photos and stock photography.
