Thanks to my three children for this thoughtful present – a trip on the Lady Florence from Orford up and down the River Ore. We left at 4pm went up by the side of Orford Ness to Aldeburgh, had a meal on the return trip back to Orford, and then carried on down to North Weir Point close to Shingle Street. Going back to Orford the route goes around the RSPB reserve on Havergate Island. Arriving back at 7pm it was a perfect way to spend a summer evening.
