At least I can honestly say that MY images are not like the ones featured in this! But, of course, they had to choose pics to illustrate the text. In reality the ‘world of stock’ is much more diverse and interesting.
Getty gets a positive mention for its picture of a female engineer in a car factory – and that chimes with recent reports of image trends wanting more reality. In other words, more images needed of women doing things other than inanely smiling at salad, jumping in spontaneous joy in odd settings, and of course, operating switchboards and making up the numbers in ‘business’ meetings.
Most of the other pics are very ‘micro’ in style and as cheesy as you might expect from such an article.
I mean, they are hardly going to choose non-stocky images for such an article are theyso in that sense the article is as false as their imagined ‘world of stock’?
