More Larkin about – Lonelier and Lonelier

I assume that these Philip Larkin sales are more than co-incidence. Perhaps because Hull is going to be the UK City of Culture for 2017. Larkin loved to cycle in the countryside around Hull, a major reason that he enjoyed living in Hull, especially over the Holderness plain out to the North Sea. This sign appears to be at the end of the Larkin Trail out at Spurn Head ( numbered 25/25).

It pleases me because, even if this sounds trite, it supports the view, which I obviously agree with, that the most important tool is what is behind the camera. In other words : it is not a great photograph but the image has utility because it illustrates something interesting clearly. Even so, I really could have framed it rather better. Never mind.
